Intuitive Leadership has been created as a small partnership to work with leaders who want to develop their leadership style and improve the effectiveness of their teams.

The three partners came together when Brian Marcel’s wife, Liz, was studying Psychosynthesis alongside Richard Wade under Alannah Tandy-Pilbrow’s tuition. Alannah introduced them to her Interpersonal relationships seminars as well as family systems workshops. Richard and Brian found both the subject area and Alannah’s expertise to be the ideal basis for a partnership to develop the applications for business – so Intuitive Leadership was formed.

The partners' skills are diverse and complementary:

Brian Marcel

Brian is an experienced leader himself having successfully founded and run his own businesses in the UK and Europe. He has been involved with Real Time Modelling for three years and still finds time to mentor students and young people to help them grow their businesses. Recently one of his University teams won the EPOCH Challenge based on ‘The Apprentice’ series, against 60 Universities from over the world.

“I was first exposed to this diagnostic tool in a family situation where a daughter wanted to explore her family entanglements to unblock the flow of love in her system. It seemed quite boring, until the story unfolded through the people representing her family - then the power of this process came through revealing the hidden dynamics that had caused this blockage.

“It seemed to me this could be translated into business as a company is, after all, a system and we bring in our family experiences and backgrounds to work, which affects our behaviour. This is rarely taught in business and is given little or no weight by leaders who need to solve the really elusive problems.

“This methodology is just so powerful and original that it really makes a difference and that is why I stick with it and why I am so passionate about it.”

Alannah Tandy-Pilbrow

Alannah brings many years experience of working with people, individually and in the context of human systems, both business and family.

Alannah has been working with Real Time Modelling for ten years. “I was introduced to this methodology as well as the underlying principles during my working life as a psychotherapist. The family is a system, and there are often hidden dynamics operating which can be revealed using this method. The same method and principles translate to far wider applications, including businesses and organizations. After talking to Brian and Richard it soon became clear that this was an immensely valuable business tool.”

Alannah teaches psychotherapy at the University of East London and runs a psychotherapy practice dealing with personal and family issues.

Richard Wade

Richard as a chartered accountant had worked with all types of business from sole traders to multinational companies, most recently specialising in executive development and facilitation;

Richard’s says, “At a time when I was growing my executive development and facilitation practice Alannah introduced me to these concepts and principles. I realised that this instinctive element of human behaviour was often missing from the leader's agenda and extended my studies to include human systems and how they impact on the effectiveness of teams.”

Richard is a qualified chartered accountant now offering management consultancy, specialising in boardroom facilitation and executive development.
